Service Description
This Super RR league format will complement our current RR league format to be scheduled periodically over our league season. This league consists of 2 Round Robin rounds and a knockout stage to be completed in 2 consecutive weeks. Week 1: Preliminary Round Robin of up to 9 groups. 5 or 6 in each group. Snake drawn. Top 2 finishers of each group go to Div A. 3rd and 4th go to Div B. The rest go to Div C. Divisional RR will play in week 2 and groups will be snake drawn to 4 or 5 per group. Week 2: Div A, B, and C Round Robin. Each division to have its own knockout stage. Top 2 of each group enter divisional knockout stage. Knockout stage will determine TOP 3 of each division. HITTA will announce each Super RR League awards. These can change over the course of a season. League Fees: HITTA members: $12 Non-HITTA members: $20 Other Rules: 1. This Super RR league will be capped at 56 players. 2. Players must have USATT league and/or tournament ratings. Minimum rating required: 800. League ratings will be used eligibility and draw unless a. Players only have tournament ratings but no league ratings. In this case, tournament ratings will be used. b. Player’s league rating is more than 3 years older than tournament rating, then tournament rating will be used. c. League director reserves the right to give estimated ratings for players with no USATT league or tournament ratings. 3. Eligibility special cases: The following categories of players can be eligible to play in the Super RR league even if their ratings do not meet minimum requirement. a. If an eligible player who signed up and bring an immediate family member. His/her immediate family member will be eligible. Max of 2 immediate family members can be accepted. b. If the player is in HITTA Seedling or Jr Elite training program. c. All players if the league do not max out. 4. Players must pay and confirmed attendance by 3pm on League day at the latest to be placed in draw. 5. Players must play both weeks to completion to be eligible for awards. Players defaulted any match are not eligible for award. 6. Only players who played in week 1 are eligible to play in week 2. 7. League Bonus Points: There will be NO league bonus points awarded for Super RR League. 8. Promotions: There will be NO promotion (promotion suspended) for Super RR League. 9. This is a USATT sanctioned league. USATT league ratings will be processed. 10. League director reserves the right to modify league rules.
